The 12th “Silk Road Young Scholars Autumn Seminar” Sub-Forum of the School of Aerospace Engineering was held at the Innovation Harbor on November 1. Outstanding young scholars from multiple countries and regions, along with the school’s Party Secretary Zhang Aiping, Vice Dean Lu Tongqing, Assistant Dean Wang Zhengjin, and young faculty representatives, gathered to exchange experiences, deepen cooperation, and explore future development directions. The sub-forum was chaired by Vice Dean Lu Tongqing.

In his opening address, Party Secretary Zhang Aiping extended a warm welcome to all participating scholars. Drawing on Xi’an Jiaotong University’s profound historical heritage, he encouraged young representatives and faculty to keep pace with global trends and make full use of the university’s high-quality platform to pursue academic achievements. Vice Dean Lu Tongqing then delivered a comprehensive introduction to the School of Aerospace Engineering, covering its development strategies, talent team construction, disciplinary directions, research achievements, and alignment with national major strategic needs. He emphasized the university and school’s commitment to providing strong policy support, broad platforms, and ample development space for young talents, and extended a sincere invitation to outstanding young scholars at home and abroad to join the school.

Subsequently, seven young scholars delivered academic presentations on diverse topics, engaging in in-depth and constructive discussions with faculty representatives, which fostered a strong academic atmosphere. After the sub-forum, participants visited the State Key Laboratory of Structural Strength and Life of Major Equipment under Complex Service Environments.
