应航天航空学院卢天健教授邀请，英国阿伯丁大学工程系王斌教授将于2010年7月5日¾15日在我校航天航空学院为师生“Probabilistic methods in structural integrity”（《结构完整性中的统计方法》）的系列讲学。课程主要提纲如下：
1. Introduction
2. Historical Background to Structural Design
3. Deterministic and reliability based design and assessment procedure
4. Structural reliability theory, uncertainty modeling and the interpretation of probability
5. Uses of reliability analysis and probabilistic methods
6. Concerns with structural reliability and risk analysis
讲学形式包含，讲课、习题课、辅导3部分，参加听讲的学生。讲学结束后，学院将为每一位参加该系列课程培训的同学颁发相关证书（参加考试的同学将标注相应的成绩）。欢迎广大师生踊跃参加，并请准备参加听课的同学即日起到院教学办公室（教一楼东215）报名。

王斌博士简历：
Wang received his first degree in Solid Mechanics from Xian Jiaotong University in 1985. He came UK to study for a MSc by research on Dynamics in 1988, followed by a Ph.D in Impact Mechanics in 2001, both from University of Manchester (formerly UMIST).
Since then he has been teaching in a number of universities in Singapore, Australia and the UK. In 2006 he moved from University of Manchester to Aberdeen. Wang was an International Exchange Fellowship of Australia Academy of Science in 1998; a Bed Morris Fellowship of French Science Foundation in 1999; and a Senior Fellow of Nanyang Technological University in 2001. His main research areas are Dynamics and Plasticity, biomechanics and Safety Engineering. He has published more than 100 journal and conference papers, and was a co-chair of an international conference and has been a member of the organizing committee of several international conferences.
He is currently the program director of the MSc program in Safety and Reliability Engineering, the editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Mechanical Engineering Education and the associate editor of Annals of Research on Engineering Education. He also holds a licensed patent on the design of a medical implant.
